The Batchworth Arena run by the Batchworth Sea Scouts and directly accessible from the towpath near to Batchworth Lock. There will be a bar selling Rebellion Brewery beer, Pimms & Prosecco and a BBQ. All the profits that the scouts raise go straight to providing opportunities for local young people 6-18 years old. The Batchworth Boat Rally also receives a donation from these profits!
Please Note:
- Taking food & drink into the Arena is strictly prohibited and bag searches will be taking place.
- Bikes cannot be taken on to the site.
- Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
- Entrance is FREE (although donations are welcome & encouraged!)
- Cash & Cards are accepted across the site at the bar, BBQ & donation points.
All drinks prices have been frozen from last year! Prices are either at or below pub prices. A local, quality event with a festival vibe without those crazy festival prices! Oh, and drinks are all served in bio-degradable and compostable glasses!
Boaters booked in with the Batchworth Boat Rally can collect their wristbands from the Boat Rally information tent on the towpath from Friday 15th afternoon. Only boaters wearing wristbands will be permitted to cross back over the temporary bridge from the Arena to the towpath at the end of the Saturday line up (21:30) . This is to ensure that there is no over crowding on the towpath and to ensure that boats moored up are protected.
Exit for ANYONE not wearing a wristband at the end of Saturday will be via the main gate of the Sea Scouts Car Park (this is only a 2 min walk round to the steps going down to the towpath) Please ensure this message is shared.
Full details of the line up for Saturday & Sunday can be found on the day specific pages. Two of their bands have members who are Batchworth Sea Scout parents! And the band 3+1 used to be Batchworth Sea Scouts! Also the headline DJ on Sunday, DJ Chakra is also a member of the Batchworth Sea Scout family and a boater!
